ABOUT
RECHO IS ON THE ROADS AGAIN TO CELEBRATE LIVING TOGETHER!
RECHO was born from the desire to contribute, through cooking, to a dignified welcome for people exiled in France and Europe. The association is packing its bags today in Lyon with the Solidarity Routes project to promote hospitality in the heart of the gastronomic capital!
COLLECT, FEDERATE, RENEW… AND START AGAIN!
Strasbourg, Tours, Poitiers, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Nantes, Auxerre and Saint-Etienne are among the cities that are immediately participating in the reception of 3,000 Afghan refugees, which France has committed to welcome in August 2021. , the first priority is to provide them with an immediate means of survival as well as providing them with decent living conditions and a dignified and warm welcome.

COOKING AS A UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE
RECHO offers communities, associations and local admissions systems to contribute to building and helping change people’s perspectives on exiles by bringing them together and bringing them together around the universal language of cooking. The RECHO team offers cooking workshops among the host and welcoming population. These workshops lead to large multicultural solidarity tables that are open to everyone and encourage acquaintances. That’s when incredible feasts take shape, where all the world’s recipes, flavors and stories are told on the plate.
Through the Solidarity Routes, RECHO seeks to anchor and continue its actions locally, following the example of the social mix project Le Grand RECHO and the integration restaurant La Table du RECHO to foster and build a social and united movement together with local actors. Cooking in the participating cities of France.

JOIN FORCES FOR SOLIDARITY

• REKO •
RECHO is a solidarity project run by professional chefs who have been working since 2016 to honor people exiled in France and Europe. Its purpose is to improve coexistence through cooking among the local and exile population. In June 2019, the association opened its first back-to-work restaurant, La Table du RECHO, at the Les Cinq Toits reception center in Paris.
• STAMPING •
Stamtish, from the Alsatian “pleasure table”, works to facilitate the socio-professional inclusion of people with a migrant background by supporting them in their future projects on cooking. The association organizes culinary events (kitchen escape games, cooking workshops, pop-up restaurants and awareness actions) in Strasbourg to develop a network of solidarity around the plate that includes catering professionals, regional actors and civil society.
• GRENZE •
Established on a former railway estate, La Grenze launched a transitional approach to urban planning and sustainable development by experimenting with a new place and new ways of living together in Strasbourg. A place that creates social bonds dedicated to thriving artistic scenes and an urban laboratory, La Grenze brings together diverse populations in a spirit of benevolence, accessibility and openness around concerts, sports practices, artistic workshops and information exchange.
• REFUGEE MEALS •
The Refugee Food Festival is a citizens’ initiative that establishes culinary collaborations between refugee cooks and restaurateurs in nearly ten cities in France and Europe. The festival has three purposes: to raise awareness and inform about the situation of refugees; accelerating the professional integration of refugees into the catering sector; and exploring culinary heritage while making healthy eating accessible.
• STRASBOURG REFUGEE WEEK •
It is the fruit of several years of cooperation between Strasbourg structures that want to break down the prejudices about forced migration, as well as a week full of thoughts, sharing, festive moments and sharing.
