Logan Paul and KSI’s new Prime Hydration sports drinks want to rival Gatorade and Powerade, but can they stand out from the competition?
When KSI insulted Logan Paul’s girlfriend ahead of YouTubers’ first boxing match of 2018, launching a new fruity sports drink line was unlikely to be on their to-do list. Unless the bitter Sevilla Orange.
But 2022 – according to Logan – is the year of love, and the way to show it is not just to set aside old differences, but to become partners with Prime Hydration, a new sports drink. .
As with everything Logan and KSI have been involved with together, it’s been hugely popular. All five flavors—Orange, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Lemon-Lime, and Tropical Punch—sold out within two weeks of their January 4 release and are already replenishing their second stock.
Buying the drinks in a store was harder than KSI’s biceps, but we managed to get our hands on the entire range to test it out. So, do they pack a punch and how do they compare to some of their competitors?
Flavors and Taste of Prime Moisturizer
There are differences between Prime Hydration and its closest competitors. Sports drinks contain electrolytes to replenish those lost during exercise, but Prime Hydration claims to be a healthier option that contains electrolyte-rich and nutritious 10% coconut water and no added sugar.
However, Prime Hydration contains artificial sweeteners and, as you might expect, the healthiest option will always be water.
However, we’ll leave the nutritional advice to the experts and focus on taste. The ingredients contain natural flavoring and citric acid that enhance the flavor, but that doesn’t mean you’re getting those real juices in these drinks. However, many fruity flavors do not taste very artificial.
For example, orange has a pleasant and sharp citrus flavor, while grapes and blue raspberries are sweet but not sickly. Lemon-Lime is also pleasantly sour, very similar to Logan and KSI’s past relationship.
All that remains is the Tropical Punch, a drink that should contain flavors such as pineapple, mango and passion fruit. Unfortunately, unlike other drinks in this series, this one has an artificial taste.
Prime Hydration Packaging and Pricing
Still, serving the tastiest drinks with four of the five flavors is a good success rate, but that’s what you’d expect, given that a bottle of Prime Hydration costs 70 cents a dollar more than the flavors of Gatorade, Powerade, and Powerade. Body armor.
Currently, Walmart and Kroger sell the product for just under $2 per bottle, and stores like GNC sell it for about 50 cents more. If you can’t find any bottles, check our article on how to get the drinks.
With their brightly colored bottles of Prime Hydration, Logan Paul and KSI are doing their best to stand out in a crowded market, but where the drinks are truly served, it’s full-bodied taste. While they’re priced higher, having less added sugar than some of their competitors might just be a good thing, even if drinking water is a healthier option (and cheapest) post-workout.
