I’ve been following the TAG Heuer Connected adventure since its first big press conference at Baselworld in 2015, and the improvements since then are truly impressive. This fourth generation of the connected TAG Heuer – Caliber E4 – is the most exciting for me to date, because now I can actually wear it! Previous versions were bigger, sportier and more impressive at 45mm (there’s also a new 45mm version), but this new 42mm version looks great even on my ridiculously thin wrist. A size of 42mm you could say is still relatively large, but TAG Heuer has worked on the design specifically to make it ergonomic. They also made sure that the sapphire crystal display is tilted over the bezel for maximum viewing, because what’s the point of a small clock if you can’t read the information? So what do I love about this watch? A wide variety of dial options are available, from sporty chronograph designs to artistic colour-changing engravings. The backlight of the dial also stays on, which avoids having that dreaded black screen when the watch is in standby mode.

Then step, heart rate monitor, calories, etc. with all the sports features, but also new 7-minute high-intensity workouts with animations and notifications. I was a little skeptical at first, but it’s a lot of fun and the kind of thing you can do in your hotel room while traveling, for me my fitness plan tends to deteriorate. I would like to hold the watch a little longer to explore all its functions in detail, but for now I can say without hesitation that I approve of the TAG Heuer Caliber E4!

Connected is back! I say this because I’ve already tested it in 2020. What surprised me the most with this new version is how quickly I synced with my phone. It took me a while (I must have misunderstood) with the 2020 version, but on this new model I completed the sync in 2 minutes straight! It may seem silly, tell me, but of course I was very surprised.

TAG Heuer Connected Caliber E4, which is very light and very pleasant to use thanks to its rubber strap suitable for the shape of the wrist, now has 30% more battery and allows you to last all day, including a 1-hour race. TAG Connected’s many fitness apps are a real asset. It is perfectly suitable for people with a lifestyle like me. The icing on the cake, this new version will appeal to the smallest wrists with its new 42mm diameter. Needless to say, I am now the happiest of men!

“Sport is health! This belief can be TAG Heuer’s with its new Connected watch. Clearly positioned in the field of sport and health, the TAG Heuer Connected watch will follow you at your own pace. Although it’s a little long, I can already hear the bad language… The old man did not understand … That’s not wrong either… Anyway, it started out easier to have 3 operating systems including Apple in the future.

When this step is over, I am here with this beautiful watch on my wrist. Sober and elegant. With simple and effective features. I chose the screen with heart rate, calories, and step count to measure the effort I put in going from my desk to the coffee machine… All this to realize pretty quickly that I seriously need to get back to the gym. I sincerely thank you for this 24/7 connected health check. Next Saturday I promise this is my last raclette!
