Ubisoft is a very popular publisher in the video game world, to which we owe so many games to be released every year. If it’s been prominent lately with its announcements regarding its location and NFT market, it should be back on the scene this year with the announcement of new games.
A big conference this summer?
Again, according to information from Tom Henderson, we learn that a big Ubisoft conference is being prepared. Last I heard, this show was scheduled before E3, but recent world events may have changed the situation.
According to several sources who know directly about Ubisoft’s plans, we can say that a big game promotion event from the French publisher has been working on it for a while.
The event was supposed to take place before this year’s E3 to prevent game announcements from suffocating with competition. However, recent world events have apparently put those plans on hold.
News about games that have already been announced
According to Tom Henderson, there are about twenty games that will soon be ready to be announced or heralded, with or without this big conference.
Alongside games such as Skull & Bones, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, free-to-play The Division: Heartland, XDefiant and Ghost Recon: Frontline, a remake of Prince of Persia can be talked about in the near future, for example. .
We may also receive news about the remake of Splinter Cell, which was hesitantly announced in December 2021. If Tom Henderson expects the game not to be released before 2024, he states that we may discover a trailer in CGI this year “to spark interest”. Number of talents for the project if Ubisoft deems it necessary”.
On the other hand, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is more pessimistic and it will be a while before we hear about the game again.
The Crew 3, Assassin’s Creed, Prince of Persia…
Now even more interesting, there are also a few unannounced games highlighted by insiders. Among them is The Crew 3 (Project Orlando), which may be announced later this year.
Assassin’s Creed Rift should be talked about this year as well. This is a game originally planned as a DLC for the latest opus that became standalone we heard about in February. It’s a smaller project before the next canonical installment, Assassin’s Creed Infinity, comes out in 2023.
The sequel to Immortals Fenyx Rising should also be introduced; It is currently in pre-production at Ubisoft Quebec. Finally, a new Prince of Persia “inspired by the Ori” would also be on the way in 2.5D. Alongside these “announcements” should be announced this year are various mobile games as well as titles designed for VR.
We look forward to seeing what the publisher has in store for us and whether these various rumors are confirmed.
